for 2 - 5 players
Playing time: approx. 15 min
Dimensions: 30 x 28 x 4 cm
Age: from 6 years

With 2 players:
1 cat player against 1 mouse player.
With 3-5 players:
The game is played semi-cooperatively (1 cat player against 2, 3 or 4 mouse players).

Contents:
1 kitchen game board, 1 table, 38 tile cards, 4 mouse hole cards, 4 mice, 1 cat, 2 dice.

Goal of the game:
- For the mice: get 10 pieces of cheese.
- For the cat: Catch the 4 mice before they get all the cheese pieces.

Preparation of the game:
The roles of the cat and the mice are assigned. The mice play together against the cat. The mouse players can play with any mouse on their turn.
The kitchen game board is placed in the middle of the table. The tile cards are shuffled and placed on the board with the tile side up on the tile spaces without looking at the back. The table is placed on the space provided. The mouse hole cards are placed with the tile side up as indicated below and the mice are placed on top. The cat goes onto one of the 6 table spaces.

Gameplay:
The mice and the cat move around the playing field by rolling dice. Everyone has their own dice: the mice play with the gray dice and the cat with the blue dice.

1/ The trains:
- You can draw vertically and horizontally (never diagonally).
- You draw exactly as many squares as you rolled.
- You are not allowed to jump over an opponent's figure, but must go around it.
- When moving, you cannot return to the space you were on.

Cat:
The cat is allowed to sit on the table, but never under it.
You move on the 6 fields of the table like you would on the kitchen floor.

Mice:
- You can only move one mouse per turn.
- The mice can hide under the table, but never go on the table.
- A mouse can return to the mouse hole to hide, but there can only be one mouse in a hole at a time.

The youngest mouse player starts and rolls the dice. He chooses the mouse and moves forward as many spaces as the die has eyes. Then the mouse player turns over his starting card on the mouse hole side.
At the end of his turn, the player turns over the tile card he arrived on and takes the action indicated on the card.
Now it's the cat's turn. She rolls the dice and moves as many spaces as the number on the dice
indicates. If the cat comes to a field where a mouse is sitting, it is lucky! The cat catches the mouse, which is eliminated from the game.
When the cat comes onto a tile space, it turns over the card and performs the action indicated on the card.
The game continues like this, with a mouse and the cat taking turns playing.
Note: If a player lands on a space that does not have a tile card on it, nothing happens.

2/ Tile cards:
Each time a tile card is turned over, it is then removed from play.
- Broken dishes: Nothing happens. Cat or mouse sit on the field
this card.
- Cheese: For the mice: That's wonderful! The piece of cheese has been won and the mice are laying
the card in front of you.
For the cat: She leaves the card on the board with the cheese side up and sits on it. After that, the cat is no longer allowed to sit on or get through any other cheese field.
Note: As long as the cat is sitting on a piece of cheese, the mice are not allowed to take it.
- +1 and +2: These cards mean additional fields. When you come to this card, the cat or mouse can move one or two additional square(s).
Attention, the player is not allowed to return to the field from which he just started. However, he is allowed to return to the field where he was sitting before rolling the dice.
- Arrow: The figures can move freely. Cat or mouse can move anywhere on the board, with a few exceptions:

For the mice:
You are not allowed to sit on the table, on a visible piece of cheese or in a hole.

For the cat:
She is not allowed to sit under the table, on a visible piece of cheese, on a mouse or in a mouse hole.

- Fork:
For the mice: If there is a visible piece of cheese on the board, you can take the cheese with your fork and win a cheese card without moving. If there is no visible cheese card or the cat is sitting on it, nothing happens.
For the cat: Nothing happens, the cat sits on the space with this card.

- Messer: Ouch! The cat or mouse is injured by the knife and their turn is over. The next player rolls the dice twice (note, if the player with the two moves is a mouse, the same mouse is rolled twice).
When the action is completed, the tile card is put aside.

End of the game:
The first clan to achieve its goal of the game wins the game.
Attention, the mice must reach their hole at least once at all 4 exits (the 4 starting field cards of the mice must be turned over to the mouse hole side) and at least one of them must return to the hole to place the 10 pieces of cheese there.

Note: If there is only one mouse left in the game and it is hiding in the hole, the cat is not allowed to sit on the space in front of the hole to block the mouse. The cat has to let the mouse out.
