With this introductory course, children aged 9 to 13 learn the most important basic chemical concepts such as solutions, mixtures of substances, elements and compounds and practice how to use their first laboratory equipment correctly. They quickly find out how to dose liquids with the pipette, what petri dishes are needed for and how to handle the three included chemicals safely and with skill.
The young researchers observe the formation of carbon dioxide, detect acids and bases using indicator solutions, investigate what soap and shower gel are all about, and can even carry out simple electrochemical experiments. Everything is explained step by step and in an age-appropriate manner in the instruction booklet. The ideal introduction to gaining initial experience in the exciting MINT science of chemistry.
